Meeting Frank Cotrell-Boyce at Carr Hill

Year 6 visited Carr Hill school to heard Frank Cotrell-Boyce talk about his new book, The Wonder Brothers. 

We heard about why he set the book in Blackpool (Blackpool Tower disappears in the story) and where he finds his ideas. 

Frank told us that he hears other stories and ideas and makes them his own. His first story Millions was inspired by many other stories where a group of friends find a pile of gold. He wondered what the story would be like if a group of children found gold and that's where Millions came from.
